Kisha “Key” is a professional freelance makeup artist and graphic designer based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Key was born and raised in the Atlanta area and attests to her environment as a strong foundation for her development. As a child, Key always loved to draw and even as a child she was especially creative. Rightfully, based on her interest with the creative realm, she attended GA State University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Marketing. Key’s educational background in Marketing provides her with a platform to hone in on various aspects of her interests. She currently works as the Marketing Coordinator for a University in Marietta.

Key first fell in love with makeup in 2008 when she purchased her first MAC eye-shadow. This purchase marked an important milestone on her path to becoming a makeup artist. Over the years, Key watched and followed professional makeup artists to develop her craft. Her learning has not reached a plateau and she continues to learn new tricks and ways to apply makeup almost daily. During the novice stages of her professional makeup career, she was entrusted with the role of makeup artist for weddings and proms for her friends. Weddings and proms are important occasions and Key was able to play a vital role in satisfying her client’s makeup needs by creating lasting memories depicted in the magnitude of photos taken during these occasions.

Key first began exploring and manipulating photos in Photoshop and the Adobe Suite in 2009. At first it was not something that she caught onto right away. This small setback did not stop Key and her drive and commitment propelled her to overcome this challenge. After some time with a fellow co-worker, Key was on her way to attaining her status as a graphic designer. She began designing invitations, flyers, T-shirts and other graphic pieces at her job and also as a freelance graphic designer. Her eye for detail was apparent in all her designs which not only surprised her but also her clients and others alike. Key also credits her success to her boss who consistently pushes her to hone in on her design skill sets.

It was with all this reinforcement and drive that Key realized that she had a true gift, love and passion for makeup and graphic design, which ultimately led to the establishment of Kreations by Key LLC.
